OK, I've decided that one reason my friend created this blog for me was because she wanted me to be able to post fun things about my family. Obviously I haven't been using it for that, sorry! Therefore, I'm turning over a new leaf, yes it is Fall! I can journal my depressing thoughts else where and focus on the positive highlights of my wonderful family here in the space that my loving friend created for me.
The girls have been sick this week....oops, that's not very up lifting....but wait, there's more! Kaytie has decided that taking deep breaths that she exhales through her mouth makes her stomach feel better. Not only does it make me think that I should probably sterilize all surfaces after she comes through but it sounds a lot like she is practicing Lamaze! Eryn on the other hand is the only one who has actually thrown up but is still eating like a normal 9 year old. After being sick in the middle of the night she decided she wanted Peanut Butter Capn' Crunch for breakfast! Thankfully she kept it down. Jerry and I must have stomachs of steel because we are just fine.
Jerry started subbing this week and, good or bad, his first assignment was middle school health. Talk about throwing someone to the wolves! He realizes now that there were a few kids that he probably should have sent to the office. Oh well, live and learn! I have a feeling he will be getting calls all the time because there are very few people that are willing to do middle school and certainly very few willing men. Jerry is also getting involved with my sister Jeri's new venture with a company called "Greenswitch". They produce a product that helps save energy and cuts down on electric bills. Since green is the new pink, it should be successful!
I am done with JBU's production of Singing in the Rain! There is another director at the university that is getting ready for "The Miracle Worker", the story of Helen Keller. The people that I worked with on this last production are recommending me do the costumes for this show also. I don't know if it will amount to anything but if they ask me to do it I probably will. As far as catering goes, I am hosting a cast party for Sager Creek Arts Center on the 22nd. It promises to be a lot of fun! I'm looking forward to trying some new recipes and possibly even having it here in my home. There is a Red Hatter's Christmas party coming up on the 6th of December that I have been asked to cater also. Doesn't that sound like fun? Several older ladies with bright red and purple outfits! I'll take lots of pictures, I might even wear red and purple myself!
There are several birthdays coming up, Jerry will be 55 on the 21st and McKenna will be one on the 24th. The birthday girl shares her birthday with my sister Becky, turning 49 and my nephew who will be 23 (I think!). I'm finding you don't have to be old to feel old!
So there it is, a positive informative blog! Someday I will learn to add pictures by myself without the aid of my best friend!

I'm sure your friend will teach you how to do pictures soon . . . not that you'll have time to actually post any blogs once you get all these catering things going.
I don't know. between my best friends schedule and mine, time to do things like learning blog intricacies is pretty scarce!
